What is Internet Marketing?
It is the business of creating a web page and selling a product for someone else. There are many many tyoes of Internet Marketing but what is the common denominator across the different flavours........ TRAFFIC
During the early days of my Internet experience, I tried as many methods of getting traffic to my blog as people would throw at me and every one was just as important and the killer plan to make my way. Did it work? not one single method was the key to succes but it was more a mixture and I was definately a new kid on the block. You need to think of traffic building like creating the most fabulous cake in the whole world. You need just the right amount of many components to make it awsomely tasty. So here are a few tips for you to use so you can be on your way.
Pay-Per-Click
If you have a spare bit of money, you can get quick traffic by signing up with google adwords or a similar type product. You could start seeing visitors to your sight in about 5 minutes but be sure to set your boundaires and make sure your make a return on your investment or you could just throw the money at me :)
Linking
Links are important but not as much as you might think. Try to get a few, Set a goal of 1 inbound link a day whilst your producing your content. Do not over do it as it will look un-natural and you will be penalised in the search engines.
Search Engine Optimization
Take a good look at your header tags, your bolds, your alt's in the img tag.
Try and place your keywords near the top and bottom of each page.
To finish up, everything you do will have an impact just be sure to change something and measure the result. Then change it again and measure that result.
